True Neapolitan pizza begins long before it meets the fire. At O’ Forno Luca, our ingredients are chosen with purpose: simple, pure, and handled with the same care you’d find in the kitchens of Naples. Every pizza we make reflects years of refinement and an unwavering respect for the craft.
Imported from Italy
We import select ingredients directly from Italy to maintain the integrity of our flavors. Our flour, olive oil, and tomato base are sourced from trusted Italian producers who share our belief in quality over convenience.
What cannot be imported is carefully sourced from local farms and markets across South Carolina, ensuring freshness, sustainability, and organic purity. Every ingredient is free from shortcuts because real flavor does not need help.
The essentials that define us
The Dough
At the core of every pizza from our wood-fired oven is our dough. A labor of love rooted in centuries-old Neapolitan tradition. We use only the finest: high-protein imported Italian 00 flour, pure water, sea salt, and a whisper of yeast.
Through slow fermentation for up to 48 hours, natural enzymes transform it, breaking down starches to build complex flavors with subtle tang, nuttiness, and sweetness, all while forming air pockets for lightness and strong gluten strands for resilience.
In our 900°F wood-fired oven, it blooms into an airy, golden crust: pillowy soft inside, delightfully crisp outside, and marked by iconic leopard spots from the flames' uneven heat, a signature impossible in conventional kitchens.

The Sauce
In authentic Neapolitan style, our sauce embodies the elegance of restraint. We select only the most fresh imported San Marzano tomatoes.
Gently crushed, they blend with golden extra-virgin olive oil, fragrant fresh basil torn from the stem, and a touch of sea salt. A brief mix yields a velvety smooth sauce, bright with acidity and alive with herbal undertones, honoring Naples' culinary poetry and elevating our pizzas.
The Cheese
Though it's impossible to import authentic Neapolitan mozzarella di bufala, I tirelessly source the closest equivalents, fresh, high-quality mozzarellas that echo its creamy depth and subtle tang, to faithfully recreate those timeless flavors.
We never overburden our pizzas with excess; instead, we layer toppings with graceful restraint, embracing the Italian ethos that true excellence lies in simplicity. Here, quality ingredients take center stage, their pure voices harmonizing in a symphony of taste that honors Naples' enduring legacy.
The Fire
More than heat, it's living heritage in every blaze. Our wood fire, fueled by select hardwoods, crackles with aromatic smoke and earthy depth.
Lined with volcanic stones from Mount Vesuvius' slopes, it radiates an even, intense 900°F inferno, a fiery dance that blisters and chars. The result: an airy crust with crisp edges and leopard-spotted whispers, capturing Naples' soulful flavors in each masterful pizza.
